CELERIS SUPPORTS SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH OF GPS III SATELLITE SPACE VEHICLE (SV-06)

ANAHEIM, CA., January 18, 2023 - Celeris supported the successful launch of the GPS III Space Vehicle 06 (SV06) on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. This satellite, equipped with the latest technology, including three times greater accuracy and up to eight times improved anti-jamming capabilities, will be joining the current GPS constellation comprised of 31 operational spacecraft. This launch was a huge step towards the modernization of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) capabilities for both civilians and military users.

This was the third Falcon 9 NSSL mission in less than a year, showcasing SpaceX's innovation and efficiency in launching missions. With the successful launch of GPS III SV06, the SSC has proven once again that they are a force to be reckoned with in rapidly developing, acquiring, equipping, fielding, and sustaining lethal and resilient space capabilities.

Under subcontract to SAIC, Celeris Systems had the honor of supporting this mission with the following Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) services:

  • Satellite requirements & interface verification

  • Mission Readiness Campaign scheduling

  • Test asset utilization & de-confliction

  • Satellite Developmental Evaluation Framework (DEF) Mission Readiness

  • Independent Enterprise Assessment of mission readiness

  • Post launch on-orbit checkout activities

SE&I relied on our Digital Engineering solution, iRIS, to support these activities throughout all phases of mission readiness.
