CELERIS SUPPORTS SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH OF GPS III SATELLITE SPACE VEHICLE (SV-01)

December 23, 2018 - The United States Air Force successfully launched the first Global Positioning System (GPS) III Space Vehicle (SV) from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. The satellite was deployed to its intended orbit approximately 1 hour and 56 minutes after liftoff. Under subcontract to SAIC, Celeris Systems had the honor of supporting this mission with the following Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) services:

  • Satellite requirements & interface verification

  • Mission Readiness Campaign scheduling

  • Test asset utilization & de-confliction

  • Satellite Developmental Evaluation Framework (DEF) Mission Readiness

  • Independent Enterprise Assessment of mission readiness

  • Post launch on-orbit checkout activities
