On Sunday, December 23rd at 5:51 a.m. PST, the United States Air Force successfully launched the first Global Positioning System (GPS) III Space Vehicle (SV) from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. The satellite was deployed to its intended orbit approximately 1 hour and 56 minutes after liftoff. Under subcontract to SAIC, Celeris Systems had the honor of supporting this mission with the following Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) services:
Satellite requirements & interface verification
Mission Readiness Campaign scheduling
Test asset utilization & de-confliction
Independent Enterprise Assessment of mission readiness
Post launch on-orbit checkout activities
SE&I relied on our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution, iRIS®, to support these activities throughout all phases of mission readiness.
