17-0313 FCA/PCA Support Engineer

Celeris Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer with experience leading a program Functional Configuration Audit (FCA)/Physical Configuration Audit (PCA) to join our team of diverse space system Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) experts. The SE&I Team provides specialized engineering, analysis, operations support and subject matter expertise for US Air Force programs. Within the SE&I Team, the Systems Engineer will report to the FCA/PCA Lead and have a leadership role establishing, conducting and maintaining program FCA/PCA’s.

Description

  • Lead/Manage efforts to complete Functional and Physical Configuration Audits (FCA/PCA)
  • Ensure military standard criteria (MIL-STD-973 or equivalent DoD standards) are met and properly addressed
  • Evaluate system engineering processes including, but not limited to quality process, software development process, requirements and verification processes
  • Lead/Coordinate activities with prime contractors and staff from SE&I, Government, and Federal Funded Research & Development Center (FFRDC)
  • Prepare and present engineering and process analyses, gaps, and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Prepare Government team for FCA/PCA audit, including but not limited to detailed training and guidance on FCA/PCA process.
  • Provide Supplemental support to SMEs on Government audit team including but not limited to systems engineering, requirements and verification, and configuration management support
  • Reviewing quality processes/procedures for contractor(s) and verifying adherence as FCA/PCA artifacts

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Bachelors’ degree in engineering or similar technical degree with minimum of 10+ years relevant experience
  • Prior experience with FCA/PCA or equivalent audits
  • Strong collaboration and teaming skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to provide a wide variety of technical analyses and program management support to a government customer
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse group of stakeholders through trade study analyses
  • Knowledgeable of space-based systems/navigation systems or experience working with systems/elements
  • Direct knowledge and working experience with satellite system hardware and software design and verification
  • Proficient in common SharePoint and all Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance


Required Qualifications:

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration

  • Master Degree (MS) in engineering or science with minimum of 5+ years of aerospace industry engineering experience
  • Familiarity and experience working with DoD acquisition organizations
  • Knowledgeable in SW development processes as they apply to acquisition of DoD programs
  • Experience designing and testing GPS systems or elements
  • Lead subject matter experts, stakeholders, and customers throughout the process of coordinating the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) and associated prime contractors' Systems Engineering Management Plans (SEMPs)
  • Provide SE&I process improvement proposals across the entire program life cycle
  • Analyze and resolve proposed technical changes to the technical baseline (i.e., interface documents, specifications documents, architecture products) using sound systems engineering discipline
  • Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret Security Clearance

Wage/Salary: This is a full time position, wages commensurate with experience
