Lihue, Kaua'i, HI (June 1, 2010) - Celeris Systems, Inc., Celeris Systems, through its association with the Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance (MDAA), had the distinguished honor of attending the dedication ceremony of a dual-purpose Kaua‘i Veterans Eternal Memorial and Missile Defense Viewing Site at the U.S. Navy’s Pacific Missile Range Facility at Barking Sands. Guest of Honor, United States Senator Daniel K. Inouye, D-Hawai‘i, who is a combat-wounded veteran and was instrumental in securing will and funding for the project, said it is “appropriate to dedicate this great memorial at a site working to prevent wars,” referring to PMRF’s “testing of systems that can serve as a most effective deterrent.” Senator Inouye said the dedication, a day after Memorial Day, allows all participants to remember those no longer here. Inouye also acknowledged the team effort of PMRF, contractors, veterans organizations and the Native Hawaiian community working together to create the memorial and viewing site. Captain Aaron Cudnohufsky, PMRF commanding officer, also offered remarks, as did MDAA President Mr. Riki Ellison.

Celeris attendees included company CEO, Angel Martinez and Executive Vice President, Jim Savage. “We were extremely humbled and honored to be in attendance at this event today.” said Angel Martinez, CEO Celeris Systems Inc. “This beautiful site will offer a unique opportunity to honor those that have sacrificed their lives for our freedom as we observe the world’s most advanced missile defense systems being tested.”
